Through that life experience, Ben has developed an un-canny sense of knowing precisely what music to play for any crowd. It's an art form that few DJ's have mastered, and to master that art form, you must first experience it. You simply can not develop that deep and broad professionalism by performing occasional weekend weddings and parties on a part time, hobby basis. The secret is: "Not how big your music selection is, But knowing what music to play, at the appropriate time" and using proper microphone technique. That's what makes for a great DJ and that's what makes Ben Barber DJ Events stand out from the others. There are Hundreds of DJ's who promote themselves as "Professionals". In reality, anyone who has ever been paid for their services is considered to be a "Professional". Being a "Professional DJ" does not necessarily imply that the person is a good performer. There is a big difference between a "Professional" and being referred to as a "Pro". BEN BARBER IS A GENUINE PRO. BEN BARBER DJ Events Many folks that I have spoken with recently are concerned about the in-appropriate and objectionable lyrics contained in many of today's songs. There is certainly need for alarm especially when you are gathering in family surroundings at events such as wedding receptions, picnics, birthday parties etc. Being a radio DJ/Personality/MC(WHYL 960) I have exclusive access to songs that feature "Clean Radio Edits". Many DJ's just download the full length un-edited versions of songs from the internet because it's the easy and cheap thing to do. But, many of those songs are not appropriate for the particular occasion and can destroy a party. That's why so many of these DJ's, can work so cheaply. I subscribe to an exclusive service, which is ONLY available to Radio people, that contains "Clean Radio Edits". It's not the cheap, easy, way to go, but, for me, it's the only way to go. Don't let objectionable song lyrics ruin your next function. Be very careful when booking a Non-Radio DJ. Ask if their (DJ)show features Clean Radio Edits. Oh, and by the way, be sure to ask any DJ that you are considering, if they are covered by adequate liability insurance for your event. If they aren't covered by at least a $1,000,000.00 liability policy, contact me immediately. (Now you understand how DJ's work so cheaply and cut valuable corners). We have fun without being obnoxious or careless.
